VertiGo is a four-wheeled robot, which is able to climb walls like a Gecko. The robot was developed by Disney in theresearch laboratories and can overcome the force of gravity with the help of a trick. At the same time, VertiGo captivatedfans and critics.
The Disney robot was a cooperation with the University of Zurich. VertiGo is independently able to recognize the transitionfrom the horizontal to the vertical and perpendicular to be able to climb walls. Two propellers are attached on the body of the robot, which can adjust and are able to exert demand pressure. This keeps the robot to the floor or to the wall. VertiGocan therefore easily walls on and depart, in between stop and continue as he would normally move in the horizontal.
